Dear Providence Chapter Members,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to a new and revitalized chapter year with the Providence Chapter of the IMA!
Whether you are a long-standing member or newly joining our community, I extend my warmest greetings and
sincere appreciation for your involvement. Our chapter thrives because of the diverse talents, backgrounds, and
perspectives of members like you, and we remain deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive
environment for everyone.
Over the past few years, our chapter has been unusually quiet. Many factors contributed to this period of limited
activity, but we are excited to share that the Providence Chapter is preparing for a strong and energetic
comeback. As we enter the 2025–2026 Chapter Year, we are dedicating ourselves to offering meaningful
opportunities for professional growth, connection, and continuing education.
We are pleased to announce several upcoming CPE programs designed to bring timely and relevant insights to
our membership:
- January 2026 Tax Seminar (Virtual – ON24 Platform)
To begin the year, we will offer a comprehensive tax update seminar through the IMA ON24 platform.
This session will address current tax developments and provide practical guidance for both management
accountants and finance professionals navigating the year ahead.
- Artificial Intelligence Presentation – Spring 2026 (Virtual – ON24 Platform)
As AI continues to transform the accounting and finance landscape, we will host an engaging
presentation early in Spring 2026 focusing on the role of artificial intelligence in our profession. This
session will explore practical applications, emerging tools, and strategies for adapting to rapid
technological change.
- Live Chapter Meeting – Late Spring 2026
We are especially excited to reconnect in person later in the spring during our live meeting, which will
feature a Health Insurance Update. This event will offer timely information and a valuable opportunity
to network with fellow members face-to-face.
As the chapter becomes more active, we welcome and greatly appreciate your participation. Whether you are
interested in helping with program planning, supporting event logistics, or exploring a leadership role, your
involvement makes a tremendous difference. Volunteering with the chapter is a rewarding way to expand your
professional network, develop new skills, and contribute to the strength of our local IMA community.
Thank you for being part of the Providence Chapter. I look forward to an exciting year ahead and hope to see
you at our upcoming events. Together, we can build a vibrant, engaging, and supportive chapter for all.
Warm regards,
Paul L. Foster
